Tell Governor Brown:  Sign AB 990 and make it easier to see who's paying for political mailers!

It's awfully hard to know who's sent you a political mailer because the disclosure statement is buried in fine print that can be anywhere.  The sender might not be the campaign or party promoted on the mailer, or even share their values.  Fortunately, the legislature just put an important start, AB 990 (Bonilla), on Governor Brown's desk!

Tell Governor Brown to sign AB 990 which will place the disclosure statement on mailers near your name and address, increase the text size, and require it to actually stand out so you can see it.1

Petition to Governor Brown:"I'm writing to ask you to sign AB 990 (Bonilla) for a commonsense improvement in disclosures on political mailers. We're all tired of being deceived by the deluge of political ads that hide who's really paying for them in fine print.

That's why I join the California Clean Money Campaign in urging you to sign AB 990 to make it simpler for voters to find and read the disclosure statement by increasing the font size, and putting it in a box that contrasts with the background of the mailer."
